End of summer, last hurrah for picnics and this Slow Cooked Sriracha BBQ Pork is perfect for the best spicy pork sliders you’ll ever eat. And even better is how easy this recipe is to make.
About Slow Cooked Sriracha BBQ Pork
You can take the boy out of North Carolina, but you certainly can’t take North Carolina out of the boy. Ask my husband, George.
He loves pork.
That’s because his Mama and his grandmother, Miss Daisy, made it so well. Pork chops, pork roasts and the absolute favorite of the South, pulled pork.
So, still trying to please his palate, I like to branch out a bit with different kinds of pork recipes and flavors – like the Asian flavors of my Easy Pork Dumplings, or the Southwestern flavored Pork Fajita Quesadillas and even the Mediterranean flavors of Pork Piccata with Tarragon and Rosemary.
All good and all totally different.
Lately though I’ve been loving Sriracha sauce, so I thought why not? Let’s have that pork cook slowly in a spicy Sriracha sauce. And it was a clear winner. Let me show you how easy it is to make.
Ingredients for Slow Cooked Sriracha BBQ Pork

- Sea Salt
- Pepper
- Olive oil
- Flour

- Garlic
- Shallot
- Honey
How to Make Slow-Cooked Sriracha BBQ Pork
Begin with a 1 pound tenderloin with salt and pepper and a dusting of flour on all sides. I’ve discovered that searing meat before you add it to the crock pot just makes the flavors better.
I like the crust that searing gives it but also searing seems to hold the juices in better.
Then I cut the tenderloin in two before I adding it to my Slow Cooker only for the reason that my Slow Cooker is small. So if you have a large one, you can skip this step.
The Sriracha sauce comes next.
Simply whisk ketchup, Sriracha sauce, soy sauce, minced garlic, minced shallot and some honey. Then pour the mixture over the seared tenderloins.
Set the temperature on low and go enjoy your day.
When you’re ready to serve, just shred the pork with two forks in the slow cooker and keep it warm until you’re ready to pile it on to your favorite slider buns.
And for a real touch of the South, add some coleslaw on the top. Like the Sriracha Slaw in the picture.
Miss Daisy would have approved!
Oh, and as far as healthy recipes go, this one is a clear winner with only 120 calories per serving (excluding bun) and just 3 grams of fat.
