”I have used this seasoning rub on a few different meat choices. In all cases, it tasted really good. I really enjoy using this rub.” Christopher Roberts
“This Vaquero BBQ Rub is a dark and smokey combination of chiles, paprika, garlic, and onion with a zing of lime. I’ve put it to use as a rub on pan-seared pork chops and found it delightful, although I think the pan fry might have muted the lime notes a bit and brought out more of the sugar/molasses. I was enjoying a rotisserie chicken from Costco and decided to sprinkle on some Vaquero BBQ rub. The rub was a pleasant addition with smoky chiles and paprika adding a deeper, darker dimension of BBQ flavor to my dinner. The lime pairs pretty well with chicken and is decidedly more “lime” flavor than the bright citrus lime of a similar-but-different Tajin seasoning.” Chef Joe
“…I defrosted some beef steaks, middle quality. Sprinkled rub on liberally and rubbed it in. Let it sit for about 20-25 minutes. Fired up the propane grill. 300 degrees F, 5 minutes on each side, temped at 140 F degrees. Final thoughts: Absolutely delicious, made even better with a bit of spicy steak sauce. I see myself using this rub at least a couple times a month. Will buy again.” Michele
“I tried out the Vaquero BBQ rub on some St Louis style ribs last night. It had a good overall flavor, but I felt the lime was a little too overpowering for me. But we still ate all the ribs! If you enjoy the lime flavor in your dry rub, you will enjoy this one.” Leon S.
“We applied this to our ribs that we smoked and it was amazing! Was not spicy!” Vinessa
”I got the Vaquero BBQ rub and one word describes it…..WOW! This stuff is amazing! Pick up your tired bird, beef or pork with this spice rub. The chilies stand out in a good way. You get the lime and then the garlic comes in right behind the lime. It’s like a party for your taste buds. I put this on chicken and it was out of this world. This spice, even though it’s called bbq, would be perfect on fajitas. I can see this spice on just about any vegetable too. Or sprinkle on your deviled eggs. Get it! You’ll fall in love like I did.” Vintage like fine Wine
“This vaquero BBQ rub is great. It has a sweet and spicy flavor with hints of garlic and spices. It pairs well with pork and chicken, and imparts a savory taste with a nice heat to it. I rubbed it on pork chops prior to grilling and they came out delicious. The ingredients are: chilies, sea salt, sugar, paprika, garlic, lime juice powder (maltodextrin, lime juice, lime oil), onion, spices, rice concentrate.” Hunter Warrior
“This is a spice rub recommended for pork and chicken. We like to use a variety of rubs and this is nice to add to our collection. The first ingredient is chilies.” Reg
“We used this on a pork shoulder that we smoked in a pellet grill. The taste was a mix of sweet, salty and a hint of lime. The whole family enjoyed it.” HouseOfBoys
“This jar did come sealed. When opening it you get a nice aroma of flavors. I took a pinch and ate it. It’s tasty, time to grill some meat. After letting the meat come to room temp and applying some evoo, I liberally sprinkled some Vaquero rub in the steak, and used my hands to spread it around. Cooked the steak and it was really good. Glad to see a quality product come out of Idaho. Since it’s from Idaho, next time I’ll put it on some fries. I will but again.” TH
“A good tasty BBQ spice blend that seems to be well made and contain quality ingredients. You can see when you pop open the jar that most of the pieces are a tiny bit larger than a lot of the lesser quality ones. Not so big though that they get lost in your preparation. Smells fresh and tastes quite good. It’s pretty tasty. I used this on chicken and it made for a flavorful dish. Loved how if flavored the sauce left in my Dutch oven which I always use to pour over my meat and salad if I’m topping the meat on top of the salad. Who needs dressing when you have created such a delicious sauce?
Besides chicken, this will work well with all sorts of other dishes. Sometimes I like to top my steak with something like this while cooking. Good to put in chilis and certain types of casseroles. Even a dash in your eggs. Sprinkle a little on top of your Bloody Mary. Whatever suits your fancy. If you like a well blended BBQ spice, this is a nice flavorful summery BBQ mix that really is great all year round.” Astrid
“When I first got it and opened it, I could smell the chilies in it. I tried it on my grilled skinless thighs and it was amazing. Didn’t have to use a lot. nice amount of heat. Pairs well with my JB Maple bourbon bbq sauce. Very tasty. Yakki
“It tastes good and comes out very easy with the ribs I love the result.” Genesis Roman
