It’s been crazy around here lately. It’s just that it’s kept me over the top busy. The solution when you Know that life is hectic is the answered prayer to every tired working person: The Slow Cooker.
This wonderful appliance has been my friend for many years.
I mean there’s nothing like the smell of home cookin’ when you walk through the door and knowing that dinner is ready whenever you want it.
And one of my go-to slow cooker favorites is this recipe for Super Easy Slow Cooked Chicken Thighs.
Ingredients of Easy Slow Cooked Chicken Thighs
- Chicken Thighs
- Salt
- Pepper
- Flour
- Olive oil
- Garlic cloves
How to Cook Easy Slow Cooked Chicken Thighs
They’re a cinch to make. I just add salt, pepper, a dusting of my favorite flour, Wondra (which is not heavy like regular all-purpose flour) and after quick browning in a skillet, I simply toss them in the slow cooker with a couple cloves of garlic for 6 hours.
The beauty of this recipe is that you add no extra liquid. Liquid would only dilute the flavor.
Instead these Super Easy Slow Cooked Chicken Thighs cook in their own savory juices. And the result is flavorful juicy chicken that is fall apart tender.
As often as I’ve made these, when I really wanted comfort food at its best, I can say that this recipe has never failed me.

Slow Cooker Chicken Thighs
Ingredients
- 4 Chicken thighs
- 1/4 tsp Salt
- 1/2 tsp Pepper
- 1/3 Cup Flour Wondra is best
- 1 Tbsp Olive Oil
- 2 Garlic cloves
Instructions
- Salt and pepper chicken thighs on both sides. Dredge in flour.
- Add olive oil to pan over medium high heat. Sauce chicken until browned on one side and add to slow cooker with garlic cloves.
- Cook on low 6 hours until chicken is pull-apart tender.
